Last Thursday we celebrated our annual International Day.

Service is all about making a positive difference, whether that be to a person or a worthy cause. Last year, the Learning Luminaries Service Team was created. A luminary is a person who inspires or influences others, particularly in a specific sphere they are prominent in.

Our student profile this week is Sophia from Year 6.

As a school, we recognise the importance of ensuring our students are well rehearsed and resilient when it comes to online safety and we are pleased to announce the school will be facilitating online safety workshops for students, staff and parents. Parent workshops will be held on Wednesday 4th March at 8:00am and 5:00pm.

We are on the countdown to our beloved International Day, which is being celebrated on Thursday, 27th February 2020. This year, the Parade is scheduled to be held in the early morning on the field, and all parents are invited to come and watch, enjoy and celebrate our diversity.

Well done to our Secondary Swim Squad, who came 1st place at the ADISSA Senior Swim Gala yesterday.

BIS Abu Dhabi Year 10 student Muhammad took part in the 2020 Immerse Education Essay Competition. We are immensely proud to be able to share that Muhammad's essay was chosen, out of thousands of entries from students attending leading schools all over the world, to receive a partial scholarship to study creative writing with Immerse in 2020.

Providing a positive environment for exam revision – a guide for parents.

On Wednesday, 29th January, The British International School Abu Dhabi are hosting a GCSE Options Evening for Year 9 parents and students.

Year 12 students led another inspirational assembly to Year 10 students, passing on their top tips for successfully navigating mock exams and how to get the best out of study leave.

Last weekend our U11, U13 and U15 netball squads took part in the BSME tournament at Abu Dhabi University.
