Early Years Teacher
Farah Mushangi - Farah Mushangi

BA, MA

Farah Mushangi joins the Early Years team with more than ten years of experience in education and leadership. She holds a Master of Teaching from the University of Melbourne. Her career began in secondary education, where she taught Humanities and Legal Studies before becoming Head of Middle School.

During this stage of her career, Farah’s Year 12 students achieved record VCE results. She later chose to move into Early Years education because she wanted to work with children during the period when their first attitudes towards school are formed.

Most recently, Farah worked as an Assistant Centre Director and Kindergarten Teacher in Melbourne. She led daily operations and taught within a Reggio Emilia-inspired setting. She also redesigned outdoor learning spaces to give children more opportunities to explore and make independent choices.

Farah believes young children learn through play and careful investigation. She wants her classroom to be a place where children feel secure enough to ask questions and try unfamiliar tasks. She also places value on close communication with families so that school and home can work together.

Since joining BSB Shunyi, Farah has played an active role in the Little Learners initiative, which has helped build stronger connections with local families and supported the continued growth of the Early Years section.

Outside school, Farah enjoys reading and exploring Beijing with her family.
