Asking children questions is an essential part of teaching and learning practice at the British school of Guangzhou. During the course of any week, teachers will ask dozens, if not hundreds, of questions designed to provoke deeper thinking around lesson content and subject areas in all parts of the school.

This month, BSG proudly continued its collaboration with the prestigious Juilliard School of Performing Arts in New York. This partnership extends beyond the ordinary boundaries of education to inspire a transformative, creative curriculum experience for our students.

World Mental Health Day was on Tuesday 10 October 2023. This is an annual event which is recognised globally to help raise awareness of mental health issues, talk about mental health, and show everyone that mental health matters.

At the British School of Guangzhou, the love for science transcends age boundaries, evident from the remarkable learning experiences recently shared by students in Year 1, Year 2, and Year 7 classes.

The British School of Guangzhou is delighted to share our outstanding A Level and AS results for 2023. Following A Level examinations 53% of students achieved A* - A and 74% A* - B.  These exceptional results are even more extraordinary in the context of significant grade reductions in the UK.  BSG achieved 53% A* - A compared to the UK at 27%.

We are celebrating amazing results today, 49% of our IGCSE cohort achieved A* - A (9 – 7) and 91% - A* - C (9 - 4).

The British School of Guangzhou celebrated Year 13 graduation in style last week in a glittering ceremony in front of proud parents, staff and distinguished guests.

In two dazzling ceremonies, in front of proud parents and staff, BSG Secondary students received academic, sporting and community service awards last week, accompanied by virtuoso musical performances by BSG students and teachers.
