Written by STA students Fi & Miae in Year 11 and Gracie, Kate & Pita in Year 12, this article shares their journey of service learning through the Green Giving Gardens project. Partnering with the Bangkok Community Help Foundation, they are building sustainable gardens to provide fresh produce for families in Khlong Toei while reflecting on teamwork, leadership, and the importance of giving back.

We are all very excited about our upcoming Residential Weeks. This term, many of our students will embark on unforgettable residential trips designed to foster friendships, build confidence, and create lasting memories.

Primary School students begin building independence with an overnight stay in Year 2, progressing to multi-night residential trips in Years 3 to 6 that include hands-on activities in nearby regions. St Andrews’ IBCP pathway blends the academic strength of IB courses with the practical, career-focused experience of BTEC, giving students a personalised route that prepares them for both university and the workplace. Arhamm, a Year 12 St Andrews Bangkok student, recently joined the MIT Student Workshop in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he explored cutting-edge STEAM learning alongside peers from around the world. From touring the Glass Lab and creating laser-cut coasters to tackling escape room challenges and visiting Harvard, Arhamm described the trip as “an unforgettable experience with loads of memories,” highlighting collaboration, creativity, and new perspectives gained throughout the week.

On Sunday, 16th November 2025, St Andrews Bangkok proudly hosted its 11th STAMUN conference, welcoming over 130 delegates from schools across Bangkok and beyond. Under the theme “Navigating Global Crises Through Cooperation and Protection”, students engaged in dynamic debates across five committees, showcasing diplomacy, leadership and collaboration. Inspiring speeches and thought-provoking discussions set the tone for a day that celebrated global-mindedness and the power of youth voices. STAMUN XI was a true testament to what young leaders can achieve when they come together to shape a better world.

St Andrews International School Bangkok hosted the VEX VIQRC Mix & Match Tournament on 22nd November 2025, bringing together 80 teams from across Thailand for an exciting day of STEM competition. The event featured Elementary and Middle School divisions, the Non-REC RAT League, and celebrated outstanding achievements by our student teams, supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, and the RAT Foundation.

St Andrews is proud to introduce two unique members of the school community: Amber and Neo, two female Sulcata tortoises. With their calm, friendly personalities, they’ve quickly become beloved companions to students and staff, reminding everyone to slow down and enjoy the moment. Living in a custom-built habitat at High School, Amber and Neo also star in “Tortoise Talks,” sharing tips on student life and well-being across St Andrews’ social media pages.

Driven by a passion for biomedical sciences, genetics, and the origins of disease, she prepared through rigorous studies (IB Higher Level Biology and Chemistry), pre-college courses, observing medical procedures, and volunteer work with Operation Smile, focusing on early disease detection and access to medical treatment.

Celebrating dance at St Andrews Bangkok, a full day organised for Primary and High School (Year 3 to Year 13) students interested in joining dance masterclasses and workshops led by professional dance artists in Bangkok.
