Once again BSB Sanlitun returned back to Beijing with medals strung around their necks jingling and jangling all the way home from a very successful Primary FOBISIA Games.

It has been our Sports Day week where the children have been working hard competing in their houses in a variety of different activities.

The children worked extremely hard over the 2 day competition and represented BSB Sanlitun extremely well.

It’s been a fantastic couple of weeks in Reception as we started our new topic ‘Houses and Homes.’

Year 5 is leading the WHOLE school to collaborate together to create the biggest, most exciting and inventive RUBE GOLDBERG machine that Nord Anglia Education has ever seen!

Our imagination is a very powerful tool. Imaginative play not only promotes the children’s intellectual development but also improves children’s social skills and their creativity.

In Year 5 recently we have begun our Global Campus Challenge in our Topic lessons. Our whole-school challenge this year is to create a Rube Goldberg machine!

Well done to all our boys and girls for playing some superb handball!

BSB Sanlitun will be competing in the B1 Primary FOBISIA Games (Federation of British International Schools in Asia) which will be held at St. Christopher’s International Primary School (SCIPS) Penang, Malaysia in May 2016. The games are a 3-day competition playing four different sports; football, t-ball, swimming and athletics.

After weeks of enduring rehearsals, learning words and losing voices the children of the BSB Sanlitun choir were finally given the chance to parade their angelic voices to the people of Beijing and make all those hours of hard work worthwhile.

As part of our Ancient Egypt topic, the Year 3 students have been busy collaborating in groups. Their challenge is to make a free-standing pyramid.
