LanguageOne is a leading international organisation providing high-quality mother tongue education for children growing up in an international environment. Its programmes help students develop strong Dutch language skills while staying connected to Dutch and Flemish language, culture and traditions.
At Compass International School Doha, we are proud to offer an accredited Dutch language programme in partnership with LanguageOne. Dutch language and culture education is integrated into the school day, giving Dutch-speaking students the opportunity to continue developing their mother tongue alongside their international education.
Our Dutch curriculum follows a theme-based approach and Dutch assessment guidelines, supporting each student at their individual level. Students also benefit from dedicated Dutch classrooms and an extensive Dutch-language library at our Themaid Campus.
Dutch learning beyond the school day
For families looking for even more flexibility, LanguageOne also offers an after-school Dutch programme, with classes available for students through to Secondary.
The programme takes place at our Themaid Campus, which is conveniently located within easy reach of our Madinat Khalifa Campus. This means families can continue accessing high-quality Dutch language education as their children progress through school.
For existing Compass students, there are no additional fees to join the after-school Dutch programme.
The programme is also open to students who do not attend Compass, giving Dutch-speaking families across Doha the opportunity to benefit from LanguageOne's Dutch language education. Fees apply for non-Compass students, and families interested in joining can contact LanguageOne directly for further information.
Alongside language learning, students enjoy Dutch and Flemish cultural activities that bring traditions, celebrations and everyday culture to life, helping them maintain a meaningful connection with the Netherlands and Belgium while living internationally.

Local advisory council - DAB
At every LanguageOne location, parents' involvement is formalised through a local advisory council. The local advisory council in Doha is the Dutch Advisory Board (DAB), which consists of parents and/or guardians of LanguageOne students. The Board ensures that students from all campuses are represented.
The DAB monitors the development of the programme and advises LanguageOne and our school on issues to do with the quality and continuity of what we deliver. The policy is embedded in local advisory council regulations.
You can get in touch with the DAB at any time on: DAB-CompassDoha@hotmail.com
